Bible Study Opportunities

 

Tuesday Morning

 

Disciple Bible Study is an in-depth teaching of the Bible. This group is active until the end of the calendar school year. Study Leader is Reverend Douglas Smith.

 

The Tuesday morning ladies Bible study is active during school calendar year. Led by Joyce Lochinger, this group meets in the Heritage Room from 9:15 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. 

 

Wednesday Evening

 

Gravel Hill hosts a program titled, "Be In The Light" from September through May. The program provides a hot, home-cooked meal from 5:30-6:30p.m. for attendees (reservations please!) at a low cost of $5 per adult, $3 per child or $15 for the whole family. Please sign up at the Welcome Center or call the church office at 838-4721 by the Monday prior to the Wednesday meal you wish to attend, to make your reservation so that the cooks know exactly how much food is needed. Babysitting is available for parents who wish to attend a Bible Study in the evening.

 

Following the meal time, there is Kidz Choir Practice in the Sanctuary from 6:00-6:30p.m.  Practice is run by Sherry Mettley and Diane Kupstas.

 

From 6:30-8:00p.m. there are a number of Bible Studies happening throughout the building.  The Alpha Course, for those wishing to begin their faith walk, takes place in room 305.  A Disciple Bible Study class is held in room 205, by Reverend Douglas Smith. There is a Ladies' Bible Study in room 201, run by Beth White (study does not break for summer). A Senior's Bible Study, which studies various books of the Bible takes place in the Chapel. And for the youngest attendees, Kids Club, run by Linda Eyer takes place in Fellowship Hall for children age 4 through 5th grade, and the Youth Group is available for kids from 6th through 12th grade in rooms 302 and 303.  

 

Inclement Weather Policy:  In the event that our local school district experiences a two-hour delay, an early dismissal or a closing, there will be no Be In The Light Meal offered. This is to provide enough notice to our volunteers who shop for the ingredients and cook the meal.  This does not mean a cancellation for the individual groups scheduled. If you have questions regarding whether or not your group will meet, please contact your group leader. If the weather is bad enough, the cancellation may include ALL activities - which would mean the meal and all group meetings.
